These 2 days have been quite eventful. For different reasons of course.

I think I can sum yesterday up in 4 simple words: Maths, is, absolutely, CRAZY! No one finished the paper. I mean. 45 mins for so many qns. damn siao. The funny thing is, the 1st page looks damn innocent. Questions are like ok, straightforward, and do-able. Then flip to the next page, and proceed to scream OH ****(Fill in word that suits how vulgar you really are) at the top of your voice. Everyone is gonna do badly man, except maybe shoujian. lolx.

Thankfully today was eventful for the right reasons. Had swimming for PE. Initially thought that swimming would be super boring, albeit relaxing. Yet Mr Kwan let us play water polo in the 1st lesson! And no crazy 10-20 laps of boring, non-stop swimming. Teams were organised into ur typical even vs odd reg.no, and even nos. got thrashed. And I noticed something man. Sean has these super freakishly long arms. It's like you have the ball in front of you, then suddenly this long hand extends from dunno where and scoops it away from you. Damn funny. Still, could not beat the moment when Spencer, who had been camping in goal for the whole thing wall-hugging, threw the ball like 3 metres to shoujian even when he had galaxies of space and eternities of time to pick the ball up and throw it out. It's like pple caming at the other end were screaming non-stop for the ball, yet it just plonked into the water like 20 metres away from them, inviting the other team to pick it up and score.

Then came History. Library Activites room as usual, but this time had some dialogue session with this rep from MOE about the way singapore history was written. Now I'm not gonna bore you with a review of that dialogue itself, although it was quite intriguing. The funny thing that happened here, was that halfway through the thing, there was a blackout, and the whole library activities room was pitch black. Then there are 2 doors at the back of the room leading to this narrow, quiet hallway. Then the doors had these tiny windows which let dim, almost moody light from the hallway to come in, so it was really quite eerie man. Made everyone rush to pull out their handphones and turn on their camera lights. haha. And we continued the discussion in that eerie setting for like 5mins. quite an experience.

After History came maths, miserable as usual, so nothing to talk about.

Prefects' Investiture was quite cool I guess. Shoujian opened the show driving the remote controlled car like some drunkard, turning all over the place and crashing into chairs. Haha. Then someone who was desperate for attention somehow thought he'd steal the show by reaching out and sticking a finger on the car to stop it for like 1-2 seconds. Shoujian must have felt like picking up a random solid item within his reach and just throwing it at guy lor. Nothing better to do. lol.

They invited another random old rafflesian back to be Guest of Honour. I bet they have this long list of old rafflesians, then they call all of them till they find someone actually interested in returning back to RI. lol. When the teachers walked in someone stopped his clapping at certain intervals when certain teachers walked past us, so that was damn hilarious. Paul Lim came back to grace the occasion. Shld have made him the GoH, instead of some random guy no one in the hall knew, whom HM and the emcee had to pretend to know so well and have complete respect for all his acheivements and blah. I like how the prefects walked in at the start. Exco from behind, then the 2 lines of members coming in from the side and merging in the middle. Quite cool. And their timing was almost perfect. dunno how bloody long they spent rehearsing. Then at the end they sang and danced(although it wasnt much of dance) to Lighthouse family's High. Nice song. I think the PB sounded better than the original singers. Who sound quite weird somehow.

Once again. MATHS IS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!!! X_X

Violent young players.

The better team won last night all right, but at the same time they nearly got ran over by a bunch of raving teenagers. Can't blame them for feeling frustrated. They are a damn talented team that Arsenal youth squad, and I guess they didnt deserve the title any less than Chelsea did, but man they went stark raving mad last night. Actually so did a retarded portion the Chelsea fans, throwing celery sticks at players for I dunno what reason. Terry nearly got murdered man. People reportedly believe he swallowed his tounge after getting a thunderous kick in the head, but that doesn't make any sense does it. It was quite freaky man. He just lay on the field like he was dead or something. Freaky.

Young players are getting more talented, yet a hell lot more violent somehow. Maybe it's just too much energy, or better still, teenage angst. I mean just look at Rooney man. Totally Uncontrollable. *shakes head*

It's the beautiful game alright, but not in this sense, no. Chelsea were lucky they didnt have to lift a trophy with blood all over it.

Going crazy. So much homework and so many tests to hand in next week that I don't even have the time to breathe. And thanks to the History RA NUS Seminar crap i'm gonna miss important revision on monday. Ok maybe Maths revision won't help us anymore than all his lessons so far have, but English revision is quite impt man. I can't think of any damn stories for personal narrative. grrr.

In other news, Fergie's little minions got damn tyco again. Won 2-1 after practically getting owned by Fulham throughout the whole game. Fulham deserved the point lor, until Ronaldo, the greatest enemy of English football, gave Man U a super super undeserved win in the 88th minute. Damn.

As Mourinho always says, the better team lost. Still, the better team is definitely gonna win the Carling Cup tonight, and there's nothing that Frenchman can do about it.

So CNY is over.

It was meaningful, yet tiring, but hey the 200 odd bucks i got from angpao money was really worth it after all. =)

Back to school, gearing up for the post-CNY mad rush. About 6-7 tests and dunno how many bloody assignments coming our way in the next 2 weeks, so it's gonna drive anyone with a half a soul completely insane. Ah well. I survived the pre-CNY rush by looking forward to angpao money, so I guess I can make it to the March Holz without having to go through intensive therapy or worse, ending up in IMH.

And here's hoping you can too. Or therapy is gonna cost you way more than the 200 bucks you earned during CNY.

Celebrated Chinese New Year in school today. Usual monotonous address by headmaster, then they asked him to drop this big gold coin into this fat gold pig, supposed to signify the welcoming of a new year or something. weird.

They had the usual Talentime thingy. Lower sec was quite funny. Some of their dance moves just threw everyone into a laughing fit, but the effort was quite good, especially Micheal who showed off a few moves on stage and completely owned the show for Morrison. Hahaz. They got last though. Judges must have been completely confused by the start of their performance, which was really messy;intentional or not no one knows. Hullett got 2nd. awww.

Upper Sec. I liked Moor's one. The part where they fought with 年, going back and forth across the stage while showing off some nice moves. Of course, I am completely biased, so I think Hullett should have won. Yet they got 3rd. Booooooooo. Their dancing was the most solid among all the houses, and they had cool outfits. Zongyi sang and Yingjie rapped in the usual interesting accent we saw when he went up on stage for prefect speech. Then Yingjie did this super zai Wushu move on stage. Haha. And Zaki was one of the dancers. Go 3K! lol. I think they didnt win coz they barely had any reference to CNY, unlike the other houses. So Moor won, and they cheered while the Emcee was talking, so everyone was like looking at them at ignoring da poor emcee. He must be damn pissed. Unless he's from moor. lol

After school 5 of us went back to St Hildas, which is damn sad compared to past years. I didnt really feel like going back either, but heck. Some guys had cca, some were going out with classmates, cca mates etc. Saw our chinese teachers(who commented on Jie Liang's hair like they always did), Mr Tan, and Mrs Yee who somehow seems to have completely forgotten us. Made Guowei real sad. lol. Worse. We didn't manage to see Mr Ang. He went home by the time we went to look for him. See la, whose idea was it to have lunch first ah. lol. So that was sad. Left St Hildas early, but GW asked us to follow him to Meridian JC to send some RIPB investiture invitation. Why the heck would they wanna attend our school's investiture. Beats me.

Anyway tye gw and jie liang came to my house, got owned by me at halo, and ya.

Oops. Just bored u with a meaningless review of my day. Must change writing style. Must. Anyway, gratz to everyone for surviving the ever so damn mad CNY rush, and enjoy collecting angpaos! Of which the money we most likely have to spend on therapy after the upcoming POST CNY rush drives us coommmmpletely out of our minds.

Just read an article in Gen Y of Sunday Times, concerning this crazy kid who used to be so addicted to online gaming that he spent up to 24 hours a day staring at the comp till his eyeballs popped out. What's more ironic is, the game he went all goo goo ga ga over was Maple! Like wtf. Still, the guy did manage to gain control over his own soul at the end, and is now restricting himself to like 2 hours a day or something, which is still alot more than most of us get, but is a mark improvement from his berserk 24 hours a day. Oh ya im actually doing on that article for the English blog, so if you want a politically correct version of this post go to rantsofwisdom.blogspot.com yea?

Anyway, I had read another 2 articles about online gaming not too long ago too, the first of which was by Edwin Yeo. Apparently he thinks that teens gaming addiction cannot be blamed on online gaming itself, instead should be blamed on the environment around the kid or the stress that he faces, and also the fact that their parents dunno how to well, parent. In other words, he is saying that online gaming: good, parents who don't know how to control their kid: no good. And damn I can't agree with him more. Hahaha. When the kids go bad, blame it on the parents! the teachers! Although sometimes the kids are really damn horrible and even someone like SuperNanny cannot do anything about them -.-

Proof that some parents really need therapy: 2nd article I read. About a girl who actually dropped out of school for 1 year to play CS. Non-stop. Crazy right? She even said she wanted to like join international gaming competitions or something. And when asked why they let her do so, the parents simply said, "She doesn't want to go to school anymore, so since she insisted on dropping out to play for a year, there's nothing we can do." (Not the exact quote though, just something in that essence) I mean like wtf? I understand that leaving her in school to feel miserable for a whole year is useless, but it's like the parents don't worry about what it would do to their kids' future. As parents they couldn't possibly let their kid do something so ridiculous. And yet they did. -.- Simply shocking.

Damn. Edwin Yeo is just abbbsolutely spot on.

New skin. And much nicer one at that. Disregard earlier Death Note post.

Once again we're in the period right before CNY. The period where teachers rush everything, dealing out homework and test papers in large amounts in view of the 3 or 4 lessons they would miss because of our long weekend. Well, like they always say, it's for our own good; if we fall behind the other classes we would be at a serious disadvantage when it comes to grades.

Still, the mad rush is really a hell lot to handle. In the coming week we are gonna have 3 tests in the space of 4 days, one of which is the topic we all LOVE the most. That means no time for new year shopping, no time for relaxation, no time for nothing.

What's worse is, we aren't even spared in the week or 2 after CNY, with another 3-4 tests snowballing our way. That probably means that during CNY, after we do all our visiting and stuff, we still have to sit at our tables, strain our eyes and mug, mug, mug.

Now don't get me wrong, CNY is still a joyous occasion, and I am certainly looking forward to the long weekend ahead, which will definitely serve as a nice break from our fast-paced school life as we hang out with friends and welcome the new year with family.

As I now return to my desk to join the pre-CNY mad rush, here's wishing everyone good luck as we strive to reach the light (and the angpaos) at the end of this tunnel.

Rise blog! Rise from the very depths of hell!

So, finally decided to revive my blog after I let it rot for the entire dec holz. After all, school life is alot more eventful than the dec holz. With the coming of a new year, new teachers, new friends and a rocking new class, the burning urge inside me to rant, rant and rant some more has once again been reignited. And what better way to express our true feelings, honour our comrades and smack our foes silly than on the ever powerful and influential Internet?

Why Death Note? you may ask. Well, the movie rocked, with one of the most suspensful and twisty plots I have ever come across. More importantly though, I really, really wish I had one of those handy black notebooks, or even just a page out of them.

Don't you?
